Tech Entrepreneur Mark Finkel Joins SoftWorks AI
SoftWorks AI announced today that Mark Finkel has been named its new Chief Strategy Officer.
Finkel has more than twenty-five years of experience working with high-growth technology companies in Silicon Valley and around the world. He has taken four companies public as their Chief Financial Officer and guided many others to successful M&A exits. Most recently, Finkel served on the board of Jump e-bikes, which was bought by Uber in May of 2018, as well as on the board of Softworks AI, which he joined in 2019.
“Mark is bringing a wealth of experience to Softworks AI,” CEO Ari Gross said. “The high level of insight, energy and creativity he brings to the table provides us with invaluable guidance and leadership as we further automate the consumer lending space.”
Finkel’s hiring comes as the consumer lending industry faces increasing demand for intelligent automation. His role will be to explore market opportunities and lead strategic growth initiatives throughout the lending and financial services industry.
“I am very pleased to be expanding my role at SoftWorks AI. Its deep expertise in AI, machine learning and computer vision make it extremely well positioned to become a top solutions provider in financial technology. I’m looking forward to being a part of the effort to bring the company to the next level.”
Finkel is on the faculty at the Sy Syms School of Business, where he will continue to serve as the Director of its MBA Program, as well as an associate professor of entrepreneurship. He holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a JD from the University of California’s Davis School of Law.
